One Day Instructors Course

Following many requests APSI now provides a single day instructor introductory course. This serves as an introduction to the Part One basic course, and also as a quick education in corporate event instruction. It's ideal for the experienced Shot who perhaps has been asked to help out at the local shooting ground on corporate events, but is unsure about coaching and safety aspects.

The course includes the important APSI Safety Test, which satisfies the Health & safety executive, also insurance companies. This is a vital document for all shooting grounds that employ part timers,which is just about all of them!

Because of the difficulty of bringing together so many individuals for a short course APSI now runs these courses in response to requests from shooting grounds, although freelance individuals can often take part.

Loaders Course

This Course is aimed at both experienced & inexperienced Loaders.

It is a one day Course consisting of the following criteria:

Accepted Dress Code,
Required Equipment,
Etiquette and Rules of the Day.
Gun Safety with particular reference to Loading & Double Gunning.
Basic procedure of Loading.

Basic procedure of Double Gunning with practical live firing exercise over loading & double gunning with close attention paid to both left & right handed Guns.

Course specific Safety Test.

Successful completion of the Course is recognised with APSI certification.

PART ONE BASIC COACHING COURSE

The course is based on the education a shooting instructor receives at a professional shooting school. It covers all aspects such as basic techniques of shotgun shooting, gun fitting, training drills, firearm technical knowledge and coaching in the field.

The next 4-day course runs from 26th April to 29th April 2010 inclusive. All delegates would need to arrive at the hotel the night before.

PART TWO ADVANCED COACHING COURSE

The aim of the course is to expand on the topics covered in the Part One Basic Coaching Course, and to introduce a series of additional topics required by the professional instructor and specialist discipline coach.

The next 4-day course runs from 24th May to 27th May 2010 inclusive. All delegates would need to arrive at the hotel the night before.
